How Fresh Is The Air Inside Your Home???

For years like many people, I always thought keeping cans of disinfectant sprays and wipes, among other household cleaners was the only way to keep a clean, germ free, anti-bacterial home. However, now I know better. Since the birth of my daughter I’ve been on a quest to keep her free from the contamination of man made chemicals that we so readily bring into our home. Though I can’t control what goes on outside the comforts of our abode I can do my part as a concerned parent to maintain the air quality within.

What I learned was mind-boggling! Not only do these household cleaners leave unwanted residue, they are contributing factors to much of the poor health in our country. Why aren’t we listening or perplexed about the adverse affects these chemicals can have on our health? The literature is out there but where is the REPORTING? Conscious of all the major diseases on the rise it seems we've accepted the possibility of becoming deathly ill or stricken with Cancer at the tender age of two as facts of life. When will we the people stop looking to doctors, news reporters, magazines, and TV for all the answers and actually take the time to do the research ourselves? Take responsibility and control. I’m strongly convinced a majority of the public feels if it doesn't make the 11 O’clock news then it’s NOT important or even worse NOT true. These remote mentalities are exactly why our earth and human survival is in its current circumstance. Wake up people. The information is in YOUR computer or public library.

Now, I’m not going to post various links to reference because I don’t have to. I will post one link that I hope will encourage you all to do your own research and find your OWN truth. The same applies to any other relative or informative future blogs. Not only is this better for your home, the people who live in it, and our environment but it is also cost effective.

Facebook Keeping Secrets?

Early this morning as per my usual I get to work and log onto my two favorite social networking sites (FB and Twitter). In my FB inbox was a message with the subject "some fun". It read:

"Some fun is going on.... just write the color of your bra in your status. Just the color, nothing else. And send this on to ONLY girls no men .... It will be neat to see if this will spread the wings of cancer awareness. It will be fun to see how long it takes before the men will wonder why all the girls have a color in their status..."

Well a bunch of fwd's later status updates were filled with just that! Amazing. I'm not sure if this really helped to spread the wings of cancer awareness but it definitely had the boys scratching their heads.

Hello Bloggers AND the rest of you ;)

After much thought I decided to give blogging a go. I named my blog url "youbethedud" because I thought it was catchy not because I think I'm smarter or even worse think I have all the answers. I plan on Blogging about information that I come across which may be right on, controversial, or just plain wrong. Nonetheless, they will be topics that interest ME and I am not I repeat NOT a people pleaser. I love feedback and I'm always open to debate and/or stronger references.
